Welcome to the Lady Islanders Website

Lady Islanders Girls Ice Hockey in conjuction with the Island Waves and PAL Hockey welcomes you to our web site. Our home ice is located at the Ice Works, Syosset, NY the practice home of the New York Islanders.  We also play at The Rinx, Happaugue NY, Freeport Recreation Center, Freeport, Long Island, NY. and Flushing Meadow Ice Rink, Queens, NYC. We are members of the JWHL, MAWHA, GAL league, Atlantic league, Long Island Hockey League and USA Hockey. We welcome all girls from NYC, Long Island and the surrounding area. We support NYS tournament-bound travel and developmental girls ice hockey programs.

Seminar on Drugs in the Community

P.A.L Ice Hockey and The Rinx would like to invite all Lady Islander families to a seminar on February 8th at 7:30 at the Islandia Mattiott. 
The topic for the eveninng is "The Reality of Drugs in our Community".  Parents and players are welcome to attend.  Please download the flyer for more information.

8U/10U at the Lighthouse Jamboree

8U/10U pose before their third game
The Lady Islanders 8U/10U squad hit the Coliseum ice on January 17th.  As the only all girl group competing in the tournament the girls showed they could play with the best of the other houseleagues.  Congratulations to all the girls that participated and special thanks to Coach Jasmine Wang for her help on the ice.

Fun had by All at the Lady Islanders Bowl-a-Thon

Matt Moulsen Bowling with 16U Lady Islanders

The Bowl-a-thon was a huge success!!  Over 60 girls attended and were joined by New York Islanders; Matt Moulsen, John Tavares, Josh Bailey, Kyle Okposo, Rob Schremp, Frans Neilsen, Blake Comeau, Jack Hillen and Jeff Tambellini.  The Islanders proved to be phenomenal bowlers and were only occasionally out bowled by some of the girls.  We would like to thank the New York Islanders for their support and Warren and Dawn Parke for their effort in heading up the fundraising.  Check out the video of the night on the Islander website and more pictures from our parents.

Congratulations to Sam Horton of the 12U for raising the most money and more the entire 12U team on their fundraising effort.

In addition to the Bowl-a-thon the Lady Islanders raised 85 coats that will be donated to the needy.  Great job girls!
